How Oscar's uses organic cotton.

Each item Oscar's offers, is created using organic cotton. 

Organic cotton is cotton that is produced with organic agricultural standards. These standard make sure that the cotton is grown in ways that do not harm people, animals or the environment. The production sustains the health of soils, ecosystems and people by using natural processes. 

Importantly, organic cotton farming does not use toxic chemicals or GMO's (genetically modified organisms). Instead, it combines tradition, innovation and science to benefit the shared environment and promote a good quality of life for all involved.

How the yarns are certified by the best.

By using exclusively Stanley Stella, we make sure that each of the created sweater of shirt is 100% sustainable. This brand is certified by various independent bodies and standards that make sure they maintain healthy environmental practises and while doing that, keep respect for nature and the planet.

 

To make ensure the safety of the workers who make the garments, Stanley Stella works closely with the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF). By having scored and attributed as 'Leader' status by FWF, they make sure that decent working conditions, such as Code of Conduct, monthly reports, daily visits, ... are handled.

Global Organic Textile Standard.

The GOTS or Global Organic Textile Standard label is a label that proves and ensures that a clearly defined set op criteria is handled. This label ensures that the harvested organic fibers are not only ecological, but also socially responsible. 

With this label, each of the harvested fibers is guaranteed that it is organically grown, without the use of genetically modified seeds or any harmful chemical product that are dangerous to the environment and the health of the farmers. GOTS ensures traceability of the product from field to you, the final customer.
